Hotel Quinta Lagrimas is an oasis of peace and tranquility near the centre of Coimbra in Central Portugal. There is a past rich in history and a medieval legend of love. It was in this hotel, in the 14th century, that the forbidden love of Prince "D. Pedro" and "Ines de Castro" was dramatically played out, the legend says that this is the place where Inês cried for the last time, while being killed by his lover's father, King D. Alfonso.
