Going around the rooms of the hotel, while admiring its archetectural forms, represents a continuous discovery of a deliberate and refined accuracy which stems from an inexhaustible passion for ancient traditions. Every corner with countless details tells us of the thoughts, the ambitions and the hopes of the past when warmth and safety were at reach, conferred by the family environment. This ideal of domestic life, supported with strength and enthusiasm by the owners and continuously revived during the day, enhances the value of Su Lithu villa and makes it more precious, allowing the reception of the guests in a really unique and unforgettable atmosphere.

Services:

  • Convention room. The Convention Room of hotel Su Lithu, which with a predominance of pale and relaxing colours - perfectly matches the "style" of the hotel, hosts important national and regional shows and celebrations. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities like video projectors and wirebroadcasting and the staff are only willing to supply further equipment, should it be requested.

  • Pizzeria. Available to customers is the hotel pizzeria. It offers a choice between classical and " typical " menù with hints to both "bittese" and regional gastronomic traditions and is a real delight for everyone who loves local and international cuisine.

  • Bar. In the big verandah, next to the pool, is the bar with a fine view of Montalbo. Here you can enjoy moments of total relaxation, entertainment with live music or just spend a quiet summer evening drinking a cocktail with your friends, before or after dinner.

Staying at Su Lithu:

  • Rooms and room service. The hotel has 15 rooms, all of them renovated and restored in accordance with the Sardinian style. Inside them every detail - ancient beds, curtains, carpets – is finely and carefully chosen and, being pregnant of local culture, reminds of a past atmosphere. From the top of Bitti, the rooms look onto a landscape full of suggestiveness and fascination allowing a feeling in the visitor, which enhances the pleasant memory of the journey.

  • Apart from bathroom, telephone, TV, mini-bar, several extra comforts make the rooms more precious, like the pleasant and original breakfast served in the room.

Restaurant.:
At Su Lithu restaurant, thanks to the passion and vocation of the owners, it is possibile to devote yourself to "gastronomic archaeology operations" and celebrate the best cuisine of a side of Sardinia. Courses and recipes, with names often unintelligible, are illustrated by Dario Giovanetti and his wife Susana. Among them sa cordedda, braided lamb entrails boiled and then flavoured in an earthenware saucepan, together with tomato and herbs; or sas casattinas, sour cheese tarts with parsley baked in the oven; or su pistizzone cun anzone, soup with lamb and a number of herbs, which is best appreciated the day after preparation, when it cools down and takes on the consistency of a mountain couscous.

  • You will also get the opportunity to taste many more ancient flavours belonging to the local gastronomic tradition, like the hand-made bran pasta, various wild herb soups and a large variety of roast meats, seasoned with fragrant aromatic plants which perfectly match with the crumbly pane carasau. And finally come the most traditional sweets with toppings of superior honey and many more delicious things made of almonds and icing which go well with a healthy "Bruschette", the plateau shepherds’ traditional wine.

Hotel Su Lithu organizes pleasant entertaining activities for its guests:
  • Evening meals in the vineyard. They convey the warmth of the moments spent within a family in close contact with the nature that supplies the fruits the restaurant uses everyday. The owners take their customers to their business, located at Sa Pretta Ruia, and present them with the unforgettable experience of a meal in the open air, called spuntino ("a snack") in Sardinia.

  • Excursions to the refuge. To guests in need of a close contact with nature, Su Lithu Hotel suggests excursions to the Refuge at Castrazza, inside the Regional Park to come, at nearly 1000m. a.s.l. You will feel the unique sensation of being plunged into hidden and secluded places, with magical and enchanted landscapes, within a short distance from the town of Bitti. The trip starts by car and goes on walking through uncontaminated places in the utmost silence. And for the ones who wish to prolong the magic the refuge offers the possibility to eat and drink together with accomodation in sleeping bag for the night.

Where:
"Su Lithu" hotel is located near the Temple Plateau, on Bitti ring road, and is easily reachable through a number of clearways.
  • From Olbia main ferry port and passenger air terminal in north Sardinia you drive along the " S.S. 131 bis " towards Nuoro, until you reach the Bitti junction; here you take the freeway to Bitti which leads straight to the hotel.
  • From Nuoro simply take the clearway" S.S. 131 bis" towards Siniscola and then take the clearway to Bitti at the Bitti junction.
  • From Cagliari and Oristano take the S.S. 131 and then change into the "S.S.131 bis" to Nuoro, at Abbasanta. Go towards Olbia and take the clearway to Bitti at the Bitti junction.
  • From Sassari take the provincial road Ozieri-Pattada-Buddusò-Bitti.
  • Bitti is 50 min from Olbia, 40 min from S. Teodoro, 20 min from Siniscola, Nuoro and Dorgali
